In the days leading up to Pesach, Queens Cheder welcomed a distinguished guest whose presence left a lasting impression on its students — Rabbi Lazer Ginsburg, Rosh Kollel of the Mir Yeshiva in Brooklyn.
The visit was more than ceremonial. It was a moment of connection between generations of Torah learning, bringing the voice of a leading talmid chacham directly into the classroom.
Rabbi Ginsburg addressed the boys with warmth and clarity, offering brachot and encouraging them to respond with a strong, heartfelt “Amen.” The simplicity of that message carried depth — reminding students that even their responses, their voices, and their participation matter in the world of avodat Hashem.
For many of the boys, this was not just another school assembly. It was a rare opportunity to see, hear, and feel what a life dedicated to Torah looks like up close.
Throughout the week, students were already immersed in Pesach preparation — mastering the Mah Nishtana, learning the Haggadah, and exploring the halachot of the Seder. Rabbi Ginsburg’s visit elevated that preparation, reinforcing that their learning is part of something far greater.
The impact was visible. Boys listened intently, engaged deeply, and carried the energy of the visit into their continued learning.
At a time when the focus is on transmitting the story of our nation, Rabbi Ginsburg’s presence served as a living reminder: the chain of mesorah is not only something we study — it is something we experience.
