Over the past number of years, the Briarwood Jewish community has been wonderfully thriving. Many community bachurim have taken a liking to the warmth and energy of Rav Simantov Yanetz, marah d’atrah of the Bukharian Jewish Congregation of Briarwood located at the neighborhood Young Israel. Pictured are some of these boys at the weekly Sunday afternoon program enjoying Torah and delicious snacks as the rav shared insights of Jewish thought at the shul. The group began with the laws of netilat yadayim, followed by those tzitis, and are now delving into the halachot of birchot ha'shachar.
