The Cheder of Queens prepared for Shavuot with a mock hachnasat sefer Torah procession outside of their Forest Hills campus. Conducted in coordination with the Community Affairs officers from the 112th precinct and Queens Shmira, the students danced in the street outside of the campus to joyous tunes as the menahel danced enthusiastically with a stunning Torah scroll. The boys dressed in special crowns for the occasion and received flags and nosh pekalach as a treat. With the participation of rebbeim and students from the nearby high school YTT, the students learned how a sefer Torah procession is conducted.
