“The Houthi drone attack in Tel Aviv near the U.S. Embassy Branch Office is unacceptable. This unprecedented attack is the most serious the city has seen since the October 7th Hamas terrorist attack and I condemn it in the strongest terms. My thoughts are with all who were killed and injured, and I am praying for the Israeli people whose resolve will not be broken by these senseless acts of violence," said U.S. Rep. Grace Meng, a member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on State and Foreign Operations.
"The United States remains committed to Israel and its defense. Our support is unwavering in the face of terrorism and destabilization. We must continue working to hold Houthi terrorists accountable, as well as the Iranian regime that funds them."
The Congress Member continued, "I send my deepest condolences to all who have been impacted in Israel and across the Jewish community. I know that many of my Queens constituents have friends and loved ones in Israel, and this attack only exacerbates the pain they have felt since October 7th. My office remains ready to help those in my district who need assistance, and I will continue to monitor the situation closely as we learn more.”
