Chazaq’s Shaping Lives Sunday school program, held at over 15 locations, continues to provide Jewish public school children with meaningful lessons rooted in Torah values.
Recently, students participated in a Friendship Day activity focused on the principle of "Veahavta Lereacha Kamocha"—"You Shall Love Your Friend as Yourself". Through creative and engaging projects, the children explored what it means to build and maintain strong, positive relationships.
In addition, the program took a thoughtful turn as students worked on "Think Before You Speak" projects, designed to help them understand the importance of avoiding Lashon Hara (negative speech). The activity encouraged children to reflect on how their words impact others, reinforcing the Torah value of speaking with kindness and consideration.
As part of the day’s programming, students created friendship projects, where they expressed ways to support and care for one another. This hands-on activity reinforced the importance of kindness, empathy, and mutual respect within their community.
After the meaningful lessons, the children enjoyed a well-deserved pizza party, sharing smiles and laughter with their friends. The combination of learning and socializing made the day both educational and enjoyable, leaving a lasting impression on the young participants.
Chazaq’s Shaping Lives Programs continue to nurture the next generation by blending Jewish teachings with interactive experiences, fostering a sense of community, and helping children live Torah values in practical ways.
