Recently, a select group of bachurim from Yeshiva Tiferet Tzion (YTT) Boys High School had the zechut to embark on a deeply meaningful Shabbos experience in Detroit, Michigan. The trip was graciously hosted by Mr. Tzadok Eliyahu, a devoted former talmid of Rabbi Moshe Aharonov, menahel, and Mr. Eliyahu's wife Shoshi, who together welcomed the boys into their home from Thursday through Sunday.

The trip began with an inspiring shiur on Thursday evening from the esteemed HaRav Meir Simcha Bakst, shlit"a, Rosh HaYeshivah, Ateres Mordechai. On Friday, the group explored the renowned Henry Ford Museum, where they marveled at the Ford F-150 assembly line in action—an impressive display of innovation and American industry. Later that day, the boys enjoyed a round of WhirlyBall, a unique and popular local sport that quickly became a group favorite.

Shabbat in Detroit was nothing short of uplifting. The boys were immersed in a warm and welcoming community, davened with kavanah, shared divrei Torah, and enjoyed uplifting oneg moments throughout. The entire kehilah contributed to a beautiful atmosphere of achdus and ruach.

On Motzaei Shabbat, the bachurim had the rare privilege of a private audience with HaRav Yehuda "Yudi" Bakst, Rosh HaYeshivah, Ateres Mordechai, shlit"a. Each student received personal brachot, had the opportunity to ask questions, and received heartfelt chizuk to continue growing in their learning and avodas Hashem.

The evening concluded with a spirited barbecue and night swim, strengthening the bonds among the group. On Sunday morning, the group headed to the airport after a trip filled with Torah, inspiration, and camaraderie.

YTT extends heartfelt thanks to the Eliyahu family and the warm kehilah of Oak Park for opening their hearts and homes. The boys returned to Queens uplifted, recharged, and ready to carry the ruach of the trip into the summer and beyond.
