Across its 15+ locations, Chazaq’s Shaping Lives Sunday school program continues to offer Jewish public school children meaningful ways to connect with the Torah calendar and deepen their understanding of Jewish history.
In a recent lesson, students explored the themes of Tishah B’Av, learning about the destruction of the Beis HaMikdash and the tragic events that have marked this somber day throughout Jewish history. To help internalize the message, children completed Tishah B’Av–themed projects, designed to spark both reflection and emotional connection to Klal Yisrael’s collective past.
Through hands-on learning and age-appropriate discussion, the Shaping Lives program brings Jewish values to life, helping children feel the depth of our nation’s story and their place within it.
