Laughter filled the air at the Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills, as children and parents gathered for Chazaq’s Shaping Lives Summer Bash — a festive afternoon packed with energy, entertainment, and community spirit.
The program featured a dynamic performance by the Peewee Magician, who amazed the crowd with fire tricks, dazzling bubbles, and interactive illusions. Children sat wide-eyed in the front rows, laughing and clapping as they became part of the magic — from being encased in a giant bubble to pulling surprises from the magician’s hat.
Alongside the live show, hands-on crafts gave kids a chance to let their creativity shine. Young participants carefully filled colorful sand art bottles, proudly carrying home their star-shaped masterpieces. Smiles and giggles echoed throughout the room as families bonded over the activities.
The celebration also included photo opportunities with whimsical balloon backdrops, where children and families posed together, capturing the joy of the day. Volunteers and staff members ensured everything ran smoothly, showcasing Chazaq’s commitment to nurturing Jewish values, community life, and enriching programming for children.
Chazaq’s Shaping Lives division continues to provide meaningful extracurricular opportunities that inspire, educate, and engage youth across Queens. This summer bash was more than a party — it was a celebration of growth, joy, and the power of Jewish unity.
