On Sunday, August 17, the Queens College Tennis Center came alive with energy and excitement as Chazaq hosted its 2nd Annual Pickleball Tournament, drawing families from across the community for a day of unforgettable fun and competition. Branded as “The Ultimate Fan Experience,” the tournament wasn’t just about paddle swings and scoring points—it was a celebration of unity, joy, and Jewish pride.
From the moment the event began, guests were treated to a festival-like atmosphere. A live DJ kept the energy high throughout the day, while delicious food provided by Smash House gave everyone a taste of gourmet casual dining. Children and adults alike enjoyed vibrant face painting, whimsical balloon animals, and custom photo magnets to commemorate the occasion.
Chazaq made sure that no one left empty-handed. The first 50 fans received exclusive tournament swag, and smiles were seen all around as families posed for pictures, played together, and reconnected with neighbors. The event offered something for everyone—from spirited pickleball games to relaxed mingling in the shaded areas.
The tournament crowned its champions as the crowd cheered on with excitement. Mazal tov to Josh Farkas and Sonny Dickman, the talented duo who emerged victorious and were named Champions of Chazaq’s Pickleball Tournament!
This annual initiative is yet another way Chazaq continues to build strong connections throughout our Queens communities. The event was made possible thanks to the support of local sponsors, including Daily Giving, Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Hrmonious, Sky-Coverage Insurance, Purple Orchid Events, Law Offices of Aaron Katsman, B&N, and ShabbosBrushes.
The day exemplified Chazaq’s mission to build a stronger future—not just through Torah and education, but through community, connection, and meaningful family moments. If this year's celebration was any indication, next year’s tournament will be even bigger and better.
