YSZ Elementary School’s annual pre-Chanukah Father–Son event was a truly uplifting and meaningful morning, offering fathers and sons the opportunity to connect through Torah, t’filah, and shared experience within the warm environment of the yeshiva.

The program opened with a special t’filah led by YSZ Elementary School’s chazzan, Rabbi Meir Cohen, setting a heartfelt tone for the morning. This was followed by beautiful chazanut performed by the boys themselves—an inspiring moment that filled the room with pride and kedushah as families listened to their sons lead with confidence and sincerity.

Families then enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast prepared by Chef David, creating space for relaxed conversation and connection. The highlight of the program was a powerful address from special guest speaker, “Rav Gav” Friedman, who joined the community all the way from Eretz Yisrael. His words resonated deeply, offering insight, inspiration, and chizuk as families prepared to enter the days of Chanukah.

The morning concluded with a lively Kahoot game and an exciting raffle, leaving participants energized, smiling, and spiritually uplifted. It was a beautiful reminder of the strength that comes from shared moments of learning, prayer, and family connection as the school community prepared for Chanukah.
