Around six hundred women gathered in Da Mikelle Illagio in Queens, NY on Thursday April 12, 2018 for the 10th Annual Mega Worldwide Challah event, broadcast live by Radio Arutz 2000 to women all over the globe.
This spiritual event, in which the women together recite prayers and perform the mitzvah of hafrashat challah, was led by Hana Layliev. The ladies in attendance came prepared with dough. It is a significant segulah for parnassah (wealth) to make challah in the shape of a key the week after Pesach. It is customary that on the first Shabbos following Pesach, challah is shaped into a key or, alternatively, a real key is stuck inside the challah. This is done in honor of the Shabbos when the Manna, given by Hashem to our ancestors in the desert, stopped falling.
The beautiful event was planned flawlessly, with excellent refreshments. The hall was filled with stunning decorations. For the amen party, each woman received an individual package with foods for every brachot.
