Shabbat Parsha Vayechi was a very special and inspirational shabbat for many in the community as Midrash L’man Achai held its first annual Shabbaton. Hundreds of people made their way to the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Danbury, Connecticut looking to learn, grow, be inspired, and reconnect during the 3 day event.

Speakers included Rosh Yeshiva of L’man Achai Harav Kleinman, along with Rabbi Ilan Meirov of Chazaq, Rabbi Yaakov Yagen from Lakewood and Rabbi Rafael Ribacoff, a well known Shalom Bayit counselor.

Aside from the lectures given by each Rabbi, there was a Q&A Parent Panel held after the Friday night meal. Guests were able to ask questions about raising their children to the panel of Rabbis.

The jam-packed itinerary had plenty of fun and inspiration including a Motzei Shabbat couples paint night, a kid’s day camp, swimming, and much more.

Parents were able to calmly relax and listen to shiurim, while there was a babysitting service provided.

The entire weekend was catered by Simcha Palace, who did an outstanding job throughout the three days. All the food for this Shabbaton was also under the Supervision of Chief Bukharian Rabbi Yitzchak Yisraeli to assure all the food was Beit Yosef and Bishul Yisrael in accordance to the Sefardic tradition.

The Shabbat struck the perfect balance between intellectual learning, fun activities, and a pleasant atmosphere.
