Chazaq’s Shaping Lives Sunday school program, operating in over 15 locations, continues to provide Jewish public school children with hands-on learning rooted in Torah values and real-world relevance.

At several locations, students focused on the vital concept of Pikuach Nefesh—the importance of saving a life. They were joined by Amir, a member of Hatzolah of Queens & Great Neck, who gave an exciting and educational tour of an ambulance, explained emergency procedures, and answered the children’s thoughtful questions. The lesson concluded with students assembling their own first aid kits, reinforcing what they had learned in a fun and practical way.

Meanwhile, students at other Shaping Lives sites explored the upcoming Fast of Tammuz, learning about its significance and the events in Jewish history that it commemorates. They created themed projects to help internalize the message of the day and reflect on its importance in the Jewish calendar.

Through meaningful and engaging activities like these, Chazaq’s Shaping Lives Programs continue to educate and inspire the next generation with lessons that stay with them—spiritually, emotionally, and practically.
