The Chazaq Youth Lounge was filled with emotion and excitement as JWave Director Rabbi David Delman received an unforgettable surprise—a visit from his son, Pinchas Delman, an IDF Handasah Kravit (Combat Engineering) soldier, who flew in for a 10-day army leave from Eretz Yisrael.
Without hesitation, Pinchas made his first stop at Chazaq’s JWave Teen Division, where he spoke to the boys about the power of wearing tzitzit, even while serving in the Israeli army. His words left a deep impression, showing the teens that Jewish pride and commitment to mitzvot are not just for the classroom, but can be lived with strength and meaning—even on the battlefield.
The boys were visibly moved by his message and inspired by his example of courage, faith, and dedication to both his nation and his heritage.
Moments like these are what make JWave a powerful force in shaping the identity of Jewish public school teens—connecting them to Torah, Eretz Yisrael, and each other in ways that last a lifetime.
