A Journey To Inspire The Masses

Introducing Torahflix — a groundbreaking platform that brings Torah and mitzvot to life through incredible, high-definition, cinema-quality productions.

For centuries, Torah education has been the cornerstone of Jewish continuity. Without it, generations risk assimilation and detachment from their heritage.

Avraham Amramov understands this truth deeply. A fourth-generation photographer and cinematographer, he immigrated with his parents at the age of ten to Borough Park, Brooklyn, where he met his spiritual guide, Harav Avraham Reich, shlit”a, who revealed to him the beauty of Torah and helped enroll him in prominent yeshivot such as Ohr Yitzchak, Mikdash Melech, and Mirrer Yeshiva. After marrying, he moved to Queens, where he developed a close connection with Harav Hagaon Aharon Walkin, ztk”l, under whose guidance he learned for many years. Rav Walkin’s powerful leadership and deep love for Torah served as a driving force behind the creation of Torahflix. In addition, Harav Yitzhak Yehoshua, shlit”a, his family’s beloved rav, continues to inspire and uplift him through his dedication and scholarship. Avraham also expresses deep gratitude to Rabbi Leeor Dahan, shlit”a, for his invaluable guidance, support, and encouragement throughout this journey—words cannot express how thankful I am for his time and mentorship.

Avraham has dedicated his life to blending cinematic excellence with Torah values. He calls Torahflix “a Netflix for Torah”—a platform that preserves tradition while engaging the modern viewer.

As founder of AK Studio Films and the creator of Torahflix, Amramov combines his passion for filmmaking with his devotion to Jewish education. After high school, he dreamed of attending NYU Tisch School of the Arts for filmmaking. Though his immigrant parents could not support such schooling, that did not stop him. Determined, he pushed himself forward—learning from some of Hollywood’s greatest filmmakers such as Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Werner Herzog, and Martin Scorsese. He went on to master the art of cinematography under the guidance of David Stump, ASC, Shane Hurlbut, ASC, Blain Brown, Werner Herzog, and Daron Keet.

Today, there are more than 15 million Jews worldwide. Fewer than two million are fully observant, while the rest—over 13 million—are assimilating into modernity, often unfamiliar with Shabbat, Yom Tov, and kosher living. Technology has provided limitless access to knowledge, but what is missing is a single media outlet that unites Torah learning with high-quality Jewish entertainment. That is where Torahflix comes in.

Based in Queens, New York, Torahflix is a free, nonprofit streaming platform serving audiences around the globe. Its mission is clear: to inspire, educate, and entertain. Through cinema-quality productions, Torahflix demonstrates how to perform mitzvot such as lighting Shabbat candles, donning Tefillin, conducting the Passover Seder, and lighting the Chanukah Menorah—according to Sephardic traditions (Maran Ovadia Yosef, zt”l).

One viewer expressed it simply: “This is literally the best gift the Jewish community could get.” Another added, “You are slowly but surely making yourself a very loyal partnership with Hashem.”

Global Impact

The results speak volumes. A Visual Guide on the Passover Seder surpassed 120,000 views. A Visual Guide on Bedikat & Biur Chametz reached over 50,000 views. A Visual Guide on Chanukah drew more than 70,000 views in a short period of time.

But beyond the view count, Torahflix continues to receive heartfelt feedback from around the world. One particularly moving comment came from a Jewish viewer who had been disconnected from religious life:

“I haven’t done a mitzvah in a long time… but through you, I decided to live a Jewish life again… to eat kosher food.”

Another wrote:

“As a Christian, this was fascinating. I didn’t realize the Passover meal was so complex and full of ritual. God bless Israel.”

A woman from Argentina shared that she was trying to honor Hashem, despite not having been raised in observance. Others from Alabama to Australia commented with awe and gratitude:

“Absolutely blown away by this. The visuals, the storytelling, the halachah—it’s all next-level.”

“So beautiful, I cried. Thank you.”

“The music, the set, the colors… every detail was thoughtful. I loved every second.”

Next Up...

Under rabbinical supervision, Torahflix is developing a full slate of programming: talk shows with Jewish leaders, children’s cartoons, documentaries on great sages, and even full-length films and episodic series inspired by Torah and Jewish history. This will be one of the crowning achievements of the Orthodox world.

Imagine Jewish families everywhere turning to a single trusted source for Torah learning and entertainment—that’s the dream behind Torahflix.

One supporter summed it up perfectly: “The quality and clarity of these videos is amazing. I’m beyond proud. You should have endless bracha and hatzlacha.”

Our current primary goal is to produce visual guides on the practical halachot.

To date, Torahflix has released eight cinematic visual guides, including: A Visual Guide to Tefillin, which features 3D animations; A Visual Guide on the Passover Seder; PASSOVER LAWS: Bedikat & Biur Chametz; A Visual Guide to Chanukah; A Visual Guide to Shabbat Candle Lighting; A Visual Guide to Donning the Tallit; Sukkot: How to Assemble the Four Species; and The Yom Kippur Laws. Currently in production is A Visual Guide on the Shabbat Seder, which will cover the evening, morning, and afternoon meals. This will be followed by A Visual Guide on Havdalah, bringing the beauty and meaning of Shabbat’s conclusion to the screen.

A fan commented after watching the candle lighting guide: “It was so clear and helpful. I sent it to my whole family before Shabbat.”
