In honor of Rachel Imeinu’s yahrzeit, Chazaq hosted a heartfelt and creative evening titled “Dance to Geulah” at Beit Eliyahu of Forest Hills. Women of all ages gathered for an uplifting night that blended art, inspiration, and the powerful legacy of Rachel Imeinu.
The program opened with a unique tambourine-painting workshop, where participants designed their own instruments using acrylics and rich colors. The artwork — inspired by Kriat Yam Suf, with waves parting and the Jewish people walking toward redemption — brought deep symbolism into the room. Tables were filled with paints, brushes, and lively conversation as women created thoughtful, expressive pieces they felt proud to take home.
After the hands-on activity, the group transitioned into a motivational lecture by Mrs. Leah Maksumov, who spoke passionately about strength, endurance, and the spiritual inheritance of Rachel Imeinu. The room was fully engaged, with participants listening closely and taking in her uplifting message.
The atmosphere of the evening was warm, creative, and filled with unity. Participants left with beautifully painted tambourines — and an even more meaningful feeling of connection to geulah, to their heritage, and to one another.
