This week close to 50 men came from the Queens and Brooklyn Bukharian and Persian communities to spend a 2 day Yarchei Kallah in the Torah city of America, Lakewood NJ. The program was organized by Kollel Ohr Hatorah of Lakewood. This is the 5th year of the program for the Sephardic community. The group arrived on Sunday morning and spent their time in the largest Yeshiva in the USA, Beis Medrash Gevohah until Monday night. The group sat side by side with talmidim of the yeshiva and learned in groups with advanced Rabbis – learning about the commandment of לפני עור לא תתן מכשול – plunging the depths of the Talmud and the Halacha– during this 2 day program, the group met with the esteemed Rosh Hayeshiva Rabbi Yeruchem Olshin Shlita, heard Shiurim from expert dayanim, also they heard mussar from the renowned Rabbi Simcha Bunim Kohen Shlita and Rabbi Reuven Leucther Shlita. The group also met with Rabbi Aharon Kotler, CEO of Bmg. Most of the attendees are married, and they took off family time to come dedicate themselves to learning. The purpose of the program is to experience true in depth learning and to see what Yeshiva life is all about . Ohr hatorah currently has several learning programs in Queens and Brooklyn.
